Boom. Back for 2019 with an explosion of goodness.

Boom. Clerkenwell ARTSlab – the club where you like to get stuck in – kicks off a mouthwatering season of song, spoken word and snortling with a line-up that oozes quality and the now.

David Gunawardana – hear songs from this Hertfordshire-based singer-songwriter’s debut EP, launched this month. David has a love of the folk tradition from both sides of the Atlantic, his songs suggest ancient folk lineage, and his delivery has a stillness and spirituality that takes you on a journey to another world. Check this out:

Jamie & the Jets – the West Sussex fab four are back with their wisdom about therapy, tenderness and the pop envelope, all wrapped in top-drawer songs. Kneel before this:

Catherine Rudie – innovative, accomplished and pure of voice, Catherine has a new record out. Find out more

Fran Isherwood – poet of the highs and lows of life, she can make you laugh but doesn’t have to.

Diego Brown and the Good Fairy will be biting their fingernails to the quick quick slow. Show them you care.

And as usual there will be candle-lit cakes, intervalistic music and enormous chips to punctuate the culture binge.

It costs £8/5 to get in and you can drink as much as you like as long as you pay for it and look after yourself.

Doors: 8pm for an 8:15pm start.
